Meet Mary, our inspiring Executive Director. Mary is a mother whose journey has been profoundly shaped by the loss of her two beloved children. Though they are no longer with us, their love and memory remain her guiding light and the foundation of her purpose.
Mary is deeply committed to empowering others who are navigating the unimaginable journey of losing a child. She understands that grief is unique to each individual, with no set timeline or path, but she believes in the power of community, compassion, and mutual support.
Through her leadership, our organization stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us all that while the road may be challenging, we can come together to heal, grow, and strive to simply do better—one step at a time.

The Heart and Philosophy of " 7th Inning Stretch Foundation Inc. Maryx Thang"
"7th Inning Stretch Foundation Inc." was born out of our founder " Maryx Thang's" deeply personal journey through life’s challenges. The name reflects her resilience—a constant uphill battle, facing what felt like the final moments to turn things around, and yet, she always found a way to rise above. From enduring abuse, family struggles, and the illness and loss of loved ones, to ultimately facing the unimaginable grief of losing her children, Maryx has turned her pain into purpose.
At its core, this NPO carries a simple but powerful message: You are not alone. Maryx understands the isolating weight of life’s struggles, having felt that loneliness herself. But she also knows the healing power of finding a chosen family—a community rooted in love, compassion, and unwavering support.
Through "Bottom of the 3rd," we aim to create a space where anyone navigating their own battles can find hope, connection, and the strength to keep moving forward. Together, we are a family, and together, we can turn even the hardest moments into opportunities for growth and transformation.
Our Mission
At 7th Inning Stretch Foundation Inc, our mission is to bring hope, healing, and support to families navigating the most difficult chapters of their lives. We are dedicated to providing compassionate therapy and emotional resources for parents grieving the loss of a child or facing unimaginable challenges.
Guided by the resilience and legacy of our founder, we extend our mission globally, starting in the Dominican Republic, to honor her children’s heritage. We provide critical assistance to terminally ill children in underserved communities, ensuring they receive the care, dignity, and love they deserve.
Through therapy, community support, and life-changing aid, Bottom of the 3rd exists to remind families that even in life’s hardest moments, they are never alone—and together, we can rewrite the story, finding hope and healing in the face of adversity.
